The Phoenix Symphony presents a wide variety of programming every year – including regular series of Classics, Symphony Pops, Chamber Orchestra, and Family offerings. In addition, they offer special presentations to celebrate various holidays and area events. The Symphony also offers educational and community programs, emphasizing their belief that the arts are essential part to any enriched and enlightened life. Why not make a night of it? Just 20 minutes from downtown Phoenix, the University of Phoenix Stadium is unlike any other stadium in North America. With its retractable roof and field, the stadium boasts contemporary and inventive design, engineering, and technology. The Cardinal’s colors may be red and white, but the stadium is absolutely green. Their “STEP UP” program promotes and enforces green initiatives and environmental responsibility. This multi-purpose facility is located in Glendale, Arizona, only 10 miles from Phoenix. The primary tenants in the stadium are of course the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals; however, the facility hosts a wide variety of events as well, including concerts, festivals, expos and auto shows. The stadium’s entire event calendar can be found on their website: Don’t forget to catch a Phoenix Suns (NBA Basketball) game.
